Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who breached a fence and grabbed the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral video reveals the Australian man shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway flanked by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being taken in", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

History of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram profile features clips of him interrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney concert in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a punishable act," wrote an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user remarked.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Grande's Well-being

Many supporters blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented another comment on Instagram.

Some supporters also criticised event staff at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some demanded social media platforms to block Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was touched by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Numerous of supporters had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The film, to be released on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-part version of the well-known stage musical Wicked, which focuses on the surprising bond between two very different sorceresses.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, earning several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
