I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a ÂŁ1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
