Former Physician Faces Assault Charges Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- doctor now faces charges for committing assaults against thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
The Serious Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous acts of sexual assault – including some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
These allegations come after what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
